One of the best things about starting a new year is that it’s a chance to look forward to new opportunities, and embrace change. Most importantly it’s time to examine your heart, and evaluate where you are in your relationship with the Lord. Are you spending time every day in prayer, worship, praise and Bible study? Are you trusting in Jesus and allowing Him to lead and guide in your decisions? Are you burning with a passionate desire to share God’s love with others? If your answers are not an emphatic“YES,” then it’s time to turn up your spiritual thermometer and get your heart right with Jesus. If you’ve been going through the motions of a Christian life but you’re not truly connected with God - you’re missing out on the joy of knowing Jesus as your personal Savior. Don’t let another year, month, day or minute go by remaining in this ‘lukewarm’ condition. In fact, did you know being “lukewarm” is a dangerous place to be? The Bible says in Revelation 3:16, “So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” If God is “spewing you out of his mouth” - then you are definitely lost and in need of a Savior. Don’t settle for a fake relationship - get serious about your commitment to God and give Him your whole heart. Don’t put it off any longer - choose Jesus today!
