Everyone needs love! It’s as essential to life as the air we breathe and water we drink. Without feeling wanted, cherished, and loved, life is dark and depressing. People need to feel valued and know that they matter. When someone feels unloved, they often give up on life altogether, withdrawing from society and sometimes even taking their own lives. Perhaps you’ve had times when you wonder if anyone cares at all. Not everyone has caring parents, families, or friends that love them. A lot of self-doubt and uncertainty comes from not knowing how precious you are. No matter your circumstance, you can always count on your heavenly Father who loves you more than anyone else possibly could. Don’t look to the world for love and acceptance because you won’t find it. The devil has many enticements, but they are all empty, fake, and deceptive. Until Jesus satisfies your heart, no person or thing ever will. You are precious to Him and He loves you more than you could ever imagine. The Bible says in Matthew 10:29-31, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” God knows you personally and loves you for “you”! He wants you to know that no matter how insignificant you may feel, His love for you is everlasting and not based on your “feelings.” God’s love is not wishy-washy. He doesn’t love you one day and hate you the next. You may have dark valleys where you think no one cares . . . but through thick or thin, count on this . . . you always matter to Jesus!
